Schools, parents claim victory

Unaided recognized schools of Delhi welcomed the Supreme Courts verdict on Friday. The order stated that the schools now have the right to fix their own fee structure, sans capitation fees, and transfer their surplus funds from one school to another provided they are under the same management. Chairman of the National Progressive Schools Conference, S L Jain, said: The judgment is in our favour as we have never said the government does not have the regulatory authority. And the apex court gave the schools the right to fix their fee.
